Hanssens is a traditional geuzeblender. This means that Hanssens buys fresh Lambic wort every year at several Lambic breweries. At Hanssens, this Lambic stays in oak barrels for maximum 4 years. Hanssens blends Lambics of different ages and different breweries to create a Hanssens geuze. Their fruit lambic beers are made with fresh fruit macerated for several months in young Lambic. With respect for tradition, every activity takes place at Hanssens Artisanaal.
