Abdij Maria Toevlucht - Zundert Beer
The monks from the abbey Maria Toevlucht in Zundert brew beer. These monks are members of the Order of the Cistercians of the Strict Observance, so they brew Trappist beer based on their own recipe, made from natural raw materials. The monks live and work according to the rules of Saint Benedict. They go through the adage ‘Ora et labora' - 'pray and work'. To foresee in their livelihood and to support people in need of helps, they make all sorts of products like beer or cheese . To keep the quiet and stillness in the abbey, it is not possible to visit the brewery.
